Hi,

I applied for my parents PR. Right now they are processing applications for date May 2007.

I sent my application in Oct 2007.

I have a job posting coming up in the US. Can I go and work their and then return back to Canada when my parents get the PR?

Or do I need to wait for them to respond to my case - gap of May 2007 to Oct 2007?

Status of my parents application on the CIC site shows in processing and under it shows:

Application Received : Oct 9, 2008

Started Processing : April 16, 2010

Today, I called the 1-888 no to talk to someone to check the status. I came across the automated answering system, after putting in all my verification details I came across the message as follows:


" Your application was received on Oct 9,2008 and sponsorship undertaking has been forwarded to the visa office nearest your relatives on April 16,2010"

Now if you look at the processing chart on the CIC website, as per the chart and the automated phone message a decision has already been made in my case.

Now, I am wondering if CIC can still ask me for more documents like option "C" or no?

Please reply and thanks in advance.
