In a related note, processing time is now Oct 6, 2006, moved ahead from Sep 22 2006.

I applied to CPC-M on Oct 08, 2008 and i have not yet received any communication or ack from CPC-M yet. Is this the norm? Will they ever send me anything or Is it like wait for 22/27 months for the final approval?

You get an acknowledgement letter after you send in the application, that is the norm. This letter usually arrives in a couple of months in the case of parental sponsorship. Seeing that it's been 5 months since you put in your application, you should call the CIC call center and get a clarification from them.

Hello everyone? I have quick question about the application after Mississauga approval.
They are asking for proof of relationship:

1. Printed e-mails, chat records or telephone bills... Should I print all the e-mails, (which is almost going to be every day) or 1 e-mail for each month ..what is the standard? ...how many e-mails are enough? I can't provide them with telephone bills cause I used phone cards all the time (will this be a problem?)

2. Proof of my visits to my parents airline tickets, used boarding pass(I don't have them...what should I do?) and complete photocopy of my of all pages of my passport (My passport pages are mostly blank do I have to print them all how about another country's visa stamps that is on it?.

You are confusing parental sponsorship with spousal sponsorship. When it comes to spousal sponsorship, you have to give "proof of relationship" the way you have outlined above, so that CIC knows that you are not in a "marriage of convenience"

When it comes to parental sponsorship, the only proof of relationship needed is your birth certificate or any legal document that proves your relationship with your parents.

Thank you for your reply. I know most of the other visa offices do not require proof of relation to their parents, but I am sending it to Beijing and that office does require that. On the following link and section 10 states that:

I would suggest you send the details as follows:
- Family photos especially at social functions.
- Emails, letters (as many as you can but within a reasonable limit) and make them over a long duration. Need not be one per day but spread over a longer period.
- If you do not have phone bills since you used phone cards, state this in a letter and explain thus. If possible, make copies of the phone cards.
