These days visa stamps take almost year - after stamps u still have one year to land in Canada. - once Visa stamp issue u r clear.... then re-medical will be very easy process.

A few qs regarding validity of PCC / Medicals and the impact on Visa and Entry.

a. How long is a PCC issued in India valid for ?

b. Medicals , I understand are valid for one year .

c. When a Visa is issued what impact does the validity of the above have on the last entry date - Does the Applicant have to land before expiry of a. Medicals , b. PCC .. c. Both ... ?

My father's PCC was issued in June-2012 , mother's PCC in Oct 2012 . Medicals done in March 2013 (PCCs also submitted in March 2013) ...

What should I expect as their latest entry permitted dates ?

I think PR is linked with medical and not with PCC.

A general question to everyone:

My eCAS status read something like for the past 1.5 years:

"We received your application on May 2008 and we started processing in Nov 2011"

A few days ago this line changed to :

"We received your application on May 2008 and we started processing in March 2013"

Note the date change in the "started processing" part of the sentence. Has anyone else observed a similar change in their on-line status? If yes, what could it mean, good news or bad news?

BTW, my parents have completed medicals a few weeks ago.

Nov 2011 processing was related with the Mississauga office where they determine the sponsorship eligibility and March 2013 processing date is related with your home country's Visa Office where applicant's medical, police clearance etc will be checked.
