Can you confirm whether CHC, Delhi has updated the medical report receipt status on the website (on-line services at cic.gc.ca)?

THE STATUS STILL SHOWS "IN PROCESS". There is no mention of medical. They started processing file in AUG 2007. Nothing abt medical till now

Hello everyone,

Just a quick question...after sending the documents to New Delhi, do they still check wherever sponsoring person still meets Income qualification?

I am moving to USA...i understand that I have to be in Canada according to sponsor my parents. But do they check after the application is already approved in Mississauga and sent to New Delhi?

The eService site should get updated with "Medicals received" in about 2-3 months from the medicals. If it does not get updated, I would recommend emailing CHC, New Delhi and enquire whether they have received the medical reports of your parents. This is to ensure that the papers have not been lost in transit (between the Dr. and CHC, Delhi).

In theory, CHC can still verify your income status from CRA based on your SIN. That said, I do not think they check once you have been approved but you need to be physically present in Canada when you parents arrive here. Since you are legally bound by the sponsorship agreement, the onus is on you to manage the finances and abide by the stipulated rules. Also, should they have any queries, CHC will ask for your latest option-c print-out (or Notice of assessment from CRA).

Thanks Trinity for your reply. It is exactly 3 months now after the medical was done. I did send an email to CHC delhi for an update and they replied to me that the application is in queue and I need to have patience.
