Whats with the CIC sponsorship application timelines. They seem to be stuck at June 22, 2007 for processing papers of parents' sponsorship

The "in Canada" portion processing time has increased to 38 months!



It was at 22 months when I applied in 2008

So now if one is applying through New Delhi, then the total wait time is 39 + 36 (months) = 75 months = 6.25 years.

That is very true!

It seems like 5-6 years for whole process ... we sponsor my wife family in end of Aug 2007 – last couple of months we have been checking processing time and I must tell you it’s very painful to watch every month they increase the timeline – when we made sponsor file in Aug 2007 – time line was 22 months and today its 39 months… we are too close but still we believe it will increase 2 or 3 months more within this month.

I have stop watching time line now and I advise my wife to not follow this time line cause she get upset every day and it affects her health.

NOTE: we sponsored ( her mother and lil brother) – mother is widow ( I heard from a friend of mine that there is faster process if mother is widow with under 18 sibling- Is this true ? ) – I try to find information on web but could not find any answer, I can’t really on my friends words since he could not come up with any one that he knows.

So I thought of asking CD user about this. – from inside I know we have no choice but to long wait but hopping for miracle - all I wanna see his happiness on my wife face
