Any e-CAS updates to your case statuses after you sent the forms and documents to CPC-M? I sent my parents' forms on Jannary 2, 2012 and the e-CAS does not show any change at all.
It is a bit unnerving especially because CIC's letter mentioned that if they do not receive any documents within 90 days, they will consider the application "abandoned".
What if CIC gets back to us in summer saying that they never heard back from us? The least they can do is to update the e-CAS status to reflect the receipt of the new forms.
Finally today i recieved confirmation letter from CIC.....it says...
" you have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponser. Accordingly, the application for PR for your relatives has been forwarded to a visa office aboard for further process....i.e. in India.
that means file has been approved or not?
any input would be greatly appereciated.
RBO ,
When did you submit all the documents to CHC. In last week of decemeber 2011?

I had submitted all required forms and documents to CIC as they requested for my parent sponsorship file.
Today, I have received file back and it says that
As per #7 on the Document Checklist, you must provide proof that you are the parent or grandparent of your sponsor in Canada and proof of relationship for any accompanying spouse/common -law partener
As part of #7, I had sent them
1) My father's school leaving certificate instead of birth certificate (It includes full name, date of birth, place of birth and other information)
2) My mother's school leaving certificate instead of birth certificate
3) My parent marriage certificate
4) My school leaving certificate instead of birth certificate (This is what I have used for my PR file instead of birth certificate). This includes my full name including my father's name.
My parents or I do not have birth certificate and we always used School Leaving Certificate as proof of birth. It has all information.
It looks like they didn't look into detail and didn't cosider school leaving certificate as proof of birth.
What should I do now?
Should I send file back with explanation that school leaving certificate includes full name including father name and birth information?
My driving license has my father's name. Do you think driving license is good for proof of relationship to sponsor?
What are other options?
I need to send response within 30 days and I received letter after 12 days.
Quick response will be appriciated.
Thanks,

Thanks RBO, did you provide a canadian address for all correspondence?
My parents are in India. I had submitted my forms and documents in first week of December. I received response in regulare mail yesterday. They sent whole application back to me.
I have called CIC today and representative inform me that CIC is looking for my parents birth certificates only and there is no alternative documents for birth certificate. If you are not able to get birth certificates, you need to get a letter from local agency who is responsible for issuing birth certificate. Letter should clearly indicate that you are
not able to receive birth certificate. He asked me to send this letter and documents to the CIC to reconsider your case again.
When I asked for more time, he mentioned that you can send request letter to CIC and they will help you for extending time line.
#7 is for proof of relationship with sponsor in Canada. My parent's birth certificate doesn't prove it. Also, I had attached shcool leaving certificates and passport copy which includes their birth information. I am not sure what kind of information they are looking into birth certificate. Also, I had used my school leaving certificate for my PR application before 6 years.
I am sure I am not alone whose parent doesn't have birth certificate and I am sure many file already accpted by CIC without parent's birth certificate. I am not happy with answer from CIC call center.
I am planning to send application back to CIC with explanation. What do you think guys? Any alternative?
Thanks
