Status:

Today my Parents received Letter calling for Passport within 60 Days ...

Process started on December 13, 2007 at New Delhi.
Medical was done June 13th, 2008
Re-Medical for Mother was done July 18th, 2008

Now, I want to delay their arrival
How much time will they get before they can come here? Do they have to be here within Six months of Stamp or before completion of 1 yr of Medical?

and Just FYI, Online Status is still "IN PROCESS" after Passport request ...

so did you send your parents Passport?

I am still trying to figure 'enter before' date.
I spoke to CIC call centre and what he said surprised me even more. He told me that as a next step ... Parents will be called for Interview. During Interview my parents can basically voice their preference - ofcourse this gotta be before expiration of Medical, which is one year.

and I was under impression that Passport Request is a sign of 'No Interview'

I guess I'll know when I get it. Parents will send Passport on Monday.

Don't trust cic call center. They don't know much about overseas application process. My parents had submitted their passports.

I think, the 'enter before' date on your parent's visa would be 1 year from the date of medical (or expiry of passport, whichever is earlier).
