My reason will be the Aging parents ONLY.
Just out of curiosity, I've heard a lot of people moved out of US to India.
Haven't really heard much when it comes to Canada exceptions KumarM etc..,
Is Canada that good....
I was in US for a good amount of time, it was pretty easy to make a decision in a jiffy to move to India (again 6 years back) but the same doesn't seem to be easy...

It would've happened prolly 20 years back, post 2002 India is very different when it comes to lifestyle. You would see less and less informal gathering than here...

For me it would be (c) part b ie the socializing aspect with friends and relatives from weddings, birthdays, engagements, pooja and other functions. In India the let's go for a dinner or a movie or just meet up with a spontaneous potluck is very easily done and there's a lot of fun and social satisfaction associated with that.

Well I was just in India a month back and I speak from that experience. No doubt lifestyle is more hectic than before but it doesn't seemed to have slowed people down. I had a blast.
