I personally would NEVER do that just because I do not want the same to be done to me OR my kids(an african/white/yellow hiring their own race instead of me/my kids). Not that it does not happen.

Hello Sthiru18,

Thanks for the mixed response. I am myself amused at your objections and verbal protest at my choice of words calling a spade a spade. How many similar protests have you made against this biased and silly( oops sorry for those words) form of governance prevalent here? It would have done you a lot more good if you had done that.

You have, though with some hesitation, accepted one of the vices called color discrimination to be existent here. India does not claim to be the best country in the world to live in. By claiming that India has a corrupt governance system does not in any way take away the blatant truth of white collared corruption rampant in Canada. Read about the sponsorship scandal where all the top politicians are invloved. Thanks to their media ( which are unlike India's media),these things do not make headlines in other countries. Believe it, humans are the same everywhere in this world with some modifications here and there. To escape from one corrupt system one usually comes to highly hyped places like Canada only to find the same living hell existent. Will this go on forever?

I said earlier I do not want to debate this well known issue. I am looking for like-minded people to join together and combat for our rights and dignity. I respect your views and expect the same from you. Thanks again for taking the time to respond.

Dunno what you mean. If you are trying to imply that I said I will not hire desis...you misread.

I have helped desis get to the interview...what they have done with that opportunity is due to their merit or lack of the same.

What I mean is that I will not make a conscious effort to prefer one race over the other. Especially when I am hiring. If I feel the desi is a good fit for my needs as a employer, he/she will be hired and NOT *because* he/she is a desi.
