So friends ,
If asked about one major reason you would like to go back to India , where will you put your finger ?
a. Canada is good but I love India
b. Indian Economy is booming, I'll flourish
c. Aging Parents or missing friends/ relatives
d. for Kids
e. I have earned enough money now to be part of upper middle class in India.
f. ill treated in Canada (bad/lack of job, racial biasing, taxes)
g. I miss my maid in India
h. Got my citizenship, pension secured , mission accomplished !
i. my reason is/will be .............................
Its sort of a mix of everything.
Guilty conscious of not being able to be with parents could be a driving factor to move back but at the same time your kids will compromise what they have here.
With money, you could try to provide the best in India for your kids ( International school, A/C housing, spending time with luxurious places, etc., etc.,) but you can't afford to provide what your parents need...
Metros (At least in South India) aren't bad. They seem to be lot of fun if you have a good sum to start with a decent 3 bedroom house, cars, furnitures, surplus cash... There are way too many private companies (MNC) to offer quality jobs if the kids come out of a good institution...

I guess if I were to return my reason/s would be :
a. India is where I want to be since I identify myself better / relate myself better to the place .
b. I do not wish my kid/s to lose Indian heritage .
c. I would be able to spend more time with relatives and friends and able to enjoy the festivals well .. all these have their own meaning to life .
Obviously would like to relocate to a S Indian metro viz Bangalore / Hyderabad / Pune ....... priorities being less crime rate , better weather and of course jobs and economy .
