Indians have very peculiar mentality - They hate their own country and own family if they see other developed countries and foreigners. This is shame for Indians. Indian should be Indians always and should patriot their own country – Look at other foreigners they never influenced by any foreign countries and foreigners and not giving up their own values for roads and buildings.

I like such long threads where original question is lost after first page itself... Its all in Good humor.
But to "Innocent_heart", stop judging people here on this board ... you dont stand a ground. You are on Temporary Visa and you dont know the kind of Emotions that we all are going through. You'll never know. So stop Judging and go back to work, thats what you are here for.

Absolutely Wrong.
I am permanently employed by Canadian office,I have not come through transfer or temporary visa. I came here as change in my job and leaving my Green card(Germany),If I want I can also apply for citizenship here.
What I wanted to say is my present company has branch everywhere and time to time I got chance to live in Europe/USA and other asian country. I also worked in India that was during year 1999 since then I am very much on permanent visa.
I worked 9 year abroad(as permanent resident) and my PR status is always taken care by my company, so I know very well what kind of Emotion you are going through.

Are you talking about Italians, Greeks, Scotts, Irish, French, Portuguese, Chinese, Spanish,polish? All of these 'foreigners' now make up Canada and America. Each have brought their own unique subcultures to these countries. While these subcultures were the initial wave the current influx of subculture is from countries like china, india etc. Some old ways have to be compromised in order to fit into society irrespective of where you are coming from. Both host countries and newcomers have to yield some to gain some.
BTW this is true not only for Canada but also if you migrate from a small town or village(e.g: in the south) in India to a metro to say in the north. My parents migrated from kerala to mumbai and had to change a lot of things about their culture to adapt. Changes included the way they dressed, the way they practiced religion, the language they spoke and also they had to accept the fact that their kids were to be exposed to different values than what they were brought up in. Any of this sound familiar?
