Oh Boy! You still have something for IT Professionals in Canada. Don't you?
Get over it now when you're back in India for good. Make peace with it bud, and relax. They chose a profession that is in demand in most of the countries. Their fault? Naah....Poor IT souls, for they have to bear the brunt of being successful and yes, settled. <Tongue in cheek>
On a side note, I somewhat agree with Nightmare. Having soft-skills and a great communication skills sans any REAL skills don't make anyone special. I mentioned somewhat agree as I don't see any fault with Obama, the example he provided us with. Mr. Obama is just a victim of bad and recessionary times that he inherited. He alone can't clear the wrecked mess and the Congress won't let him due to the petty and dirty politics. At least he tried on a few fronts, i.e. Healthcare, taxing the rich, etc. Don't you think he needs to be given a time to clear this hugh mess that Bush created in those 8 years? I know people's patience has run dry, but consider yourself in his shoes and then you'll realize how hard is it to be a President of USofA during the recessionary times when ALL the odds are against you.
I know it's not an excuse at all, but realistically speaking, unfortunately his soft-skills have become very hard skills in even harder times.
On the education front, please note that no education system is perfect. Far from it. India has its own problems and West has its. To India's (dis)credit, the majority of Graduates are just a result of one month's 'ruttafication(craming)' prior to exams sans any real (or for that matter unreal) skills. Every Indian knows about it and he/she who denies it may be living in a far-fetched improbable world. I am yet to experience the West's education system first hand so can't comment on it despite of being afraid to be labelled as pro-west. Whatever!
All we need is the balance, which is unforeseen in any near future, whether within India or the West itself, unfortunately.
