Thanks a lot for the input. What is the normal timeline to change status to medical results are received . My parents completed medical examination one and half month ago. i.e. when medical office sent results to cic?

As a proof of medical, I have submitted receipt and signed copy of section A. CIC didn't ask for it.

Now, I have UCI # for my father. I think we should check status under that client id. Am I right?

At this point, it shows application received only.

How much time it takes to update medical received?
Do you think after medical approval file will transfer to New Delhi?
Who will request for Passport? (Ottawa-Pilot or New Delhi)

My parent passport expires in August 2013. Medical was completed in July 2012 and expecting my parent will land in Canada before July 2013 and passport expires.

Do you think CIC will request for new passports if expiring within 6 months from Visa Issuing Date?

Do you suggest to renew passport before 6 months of expiry date?

Do you think immigration process will be delayed by submitting the copy of new Passport to CIC?

You should have UCI and Application number both. You can check status with either of this two. I checked status for my parents using both and shows same thing- Application received only. How can we assure that medical office has submitted medical results and not misplaced?

I think after medical approval file will transfer to the place from where you get request for medical examination and police certificate. In my case its ottawa-pilot. May be we can email ottawa piolt and can ask for the updates.

For passports I don't know. But if you receive request for passport submission within next 3-4 months your parents will arrive here before their passport expires.

I would first like to thank all the posters on this thread as they have given me a lot of insight about the processing.However there are still few queries that i would like to ask.And before I ask any questions just wanted to give you an insight about my case

-> May 10th,2010 mailed out application
->July 19th,2010 Letter recv from CIC acknowledging recv the application
->Dec 7th,2012 Letter recv attached to which the original SPONSORSHIP form was given back stating they made a copy and they do not need original

My Questions:

1)What is the pilot project that all you guys are talking about?
2)Looking at my situation when do you think I would receive the next communication from CIC
3)I have just gone through the additional documents list that CIC might ask however many of which I already submitted with the initial application(for example proof of relationship) would they expect me to re-send everything?
4)I have been sending the OPTION C print out (from CRA) for each year since I applied for sponsorship and am also updating about my brother's(who is a dependant ) visa status(lives in Australia and is a student )his semester exam results etc is this all necessary?
5) I have recently become a CITIZEN of CANADA do I need to inform about this? any other forms to fill?
