Good idea .. Never tried but heard that Iqbals provides reasonably priced good biryani.

Alternatively I also know that Dhaba Express sells chole bhature for $2.5/plate which would also be cost effective....

We can decide between the 2.

Kids snacks and drinks non barring , other items like sweets, samosas , water , pop, chips , disposables can be be brought centrally and cost distributed.

Tea can be contributed by the members ... Tim Hortons tea does not come up to desi ghar ki chai !! .. I can get for 30 people .. dispenser limitation. Perhaps some other people can get too !!

I don't think so that most of CD member's can not afford $10 to $15 per person for a good food and for a great picnic......if family of four and costing you around $50 bucks for whole half day entertainment with food, games and enjoyment than is more worth it than anything else.....:)

outside catering is more feasible option...but again majority always wins....

2 cents from my side....;)

I agree ..

3 options for lunch .. other things like snacks and chai unchanged ..

a. Chola Bhatura OR Biryani .
b. Chola Bhatura & Biryani
c. 6-7 items thali with naan / roti / rice.

Transportation & handling wise a or b are better.

We can order till two days before so people can confirm their presence by 11th also.

Lets close this soon and the next item we can discuss is activity & games....

My vote goes to:

b. Chola Bhatura & Biryani.

SS and Pramod chopra will take the lead for games & activity.
