Word History: In South Africa in the 1800s, a common way of talking about the length of an overland journey was not in miles but in treks?the original meaning of the word trek in English was "a day of traveling by ox cart, one stage in a journey by ox cart."

Now 'Horses' have take over from the OX. I also have a few under the hood in this buggy. That is how they all traveled a 150 years ago in this neck of the woods. They had no bridges over these rivers anywhere in Canada. So, the forefathers said "We shall have Roads, Rails and Mail Services too, (Posts too)" to link with the rest of Canada. More on it when we meet.

If picnic is done outdoors, we should add few things to the list: a plastic drop sheet to cover food overall, some foil trays and foil paper/plastic wrap to cover the trays.

Increasing the quantity of Chole Bhature to 30 plates and Idlis & vadas to 100 each.

It is slowly thinning out for the noon and we may just see a small squall in the afternoon. Fido I see you are crossing your fingers. Hold them in the same posture for a few more hours. We may luck out. It may even fizzle out too.
