Sure. Will be glad to be of help.
You say in your post that you want to come as PR (Permanent residency). That means you will need to get the points and apply. There was a talk that since IT profession is in demand in Canada, the Govt. has taken the IT people from the eligibility list for PR so that they canot come here. First see if you are on the list or you will have to cheat and enter ( Say you are a mechanical engr turned IT engineer, then apply in the IT catagory).
There are programmes like PNP programmes in which individual states will set their own eligibility norms for getting immigrants into their state.
All this will take you atleast 1 year to 2 years.
There is also a post running in CD regarding express entry (Which I have not read in detail). Try reading that.
I would expect that initially you will start at $ 45,000 to $ 60,000 per annum. Mind it, at the end of it all (assuming that only you work and you have a spouse and 2 children), if you are kanjoos, you can save $ 10,000 a year only.
Companies to look for is :
1. Loblaws
2. Rogers
3. GE / Microsoft
4. Macafee
Hope this helps.
Long live the Canadian Govt...

Thanks for the info. I would like to know what is the nature of job culture, If it follows hire and fire policy or the job is stable and secure there. For experience professional also the starting sal will be 5000 per month!! Why would the savings is so less. Is it because of the living cost!!
In Canada jobs are not secure but IT companies rarely fire (based on my experience from 2002-2011). It is quite possible that you company might be bought by someone else etc.. and in that case, you will get a good package for the firing. It is also easy to get other IT jobs (generally speaking).
IT, Business, Finance and other specific technology related people will be the easiet to suceed in Canada.
Expenses are more. In 5,000 salary , you will only get $ 3500 or so in salary.
Expenses :
Apartment - $ 1400
Car insurance - $ 250
Gas - $ 100
Food & milk - $ 600
Cable / TV/ Internet - $ 200 to $ 250
Entertainment / cloths - $ 300
Daycare - $ 600 to $ 1200 per month / child.
So it all adds up.
Anyways, looks like you are in India now. I am also in India. If you PM me your cellphone number, I can call you and I can explain more better. Please note that I will not demand any money for my talk or at any time.

Feb,
Looks like Happy Woman 36 really want to take revenge on me and she (assuming that it is a 'she') canot even stop for a minute, thinking about me.
Anyways lucky that I am not in Canada and my location in India is top secret. Would not want a stalker in my office.
Anyways coming to the money part, the normal tactic that a desi tries is to cheat money out of a desi who comes asking for help. I had had so many cases in the past when desi people have tried to exploit me by asking for a loan / join Quikstar / join primerica / free driving them around the city etc.. So I wanted to be honest with the OP that, though I might be sharing very important information with him (as to how he can save money in Canada), I am not expecting any money from him.

Madam:
Not sure if you read my postings in this thread.
I am actually encouraging him to move to Canada. As I have stated, IT is one of the best fields to get employed in Canada and so how will I ever stop him?
He has not given me his cellphoe number yet but if he does I shall advise him on the points that he has doubts. if he wants to live frugelly, I can tell him about food banks, soup kitchens, basements, Surveys for money, free promotional items, hot chocolate given on lighting of christmas day etc.. If he wants to enjoy life, I will tell him about Condo apartments, strip clubs, bars, platonic relationships etc..
Please read my posts before comments (please note, donot take this personally as Blue_Peafowl had also indicated. He is one of my good friends).
