Samosas are only 40 cents per piece ! Some places even have it for 3 for $ 1.00 ? Can you believe that !
Samosas are basically desi junk food , and are regularly eaten by desis over here as a snack & when they are hungry, same way Goras go to McDonalds , Pizza Hut , Subway etc.
I mean why go to a Pizza place & have a slice of Pizza for 3-4 bucks ! , when you can go into a desi grocery store or restaurant & eat 3 samosas for $ 1.00 ? The desi aunty will also give you some green chutney & brown tamarind chutney with it.
Don't try to make samosas at home its NOT worth it, you will spend too much time & money making them, its cheaper if you buy them 
Most desi stores don't make anything on the samosas or just break even. They are there to just bring you into their store They think you will buy something else , when they lure you in with the Samosas.
If you are smart you will just buy the Samosas & get out..LOL ..so you will foil their plan..ha ha. They will make funny faces & angry faces at you, but don't worry be happy & just eat your samosas..ha ha.

I think you need way more than that if you are buying brand new furniture , $ 1,500 - $ 2,000 is not enough.
More like $ 4,000 minimum is needed if you want to furnish a 1 BR or 2 BR apartment with basic new furniture like Bed , Mattress , Dining Table , Sofa , Love Seat , Chair , TV, Coffee table, Dining chairs, side tables, Drawer/Dresser in Bed room , Mirror , Micro Wave oven etc.
IKEA, Leons , The Brick , Bad Boy , Sears are some of the major retailers for furniture/Mattress. Watch for their sales & flyers. Bargain a bit if you can .
For electronics Future Shop , Best Buy , Staples , Wal Mart etc are better. Usually the retailers will price match each other.
One scam new desis fall for is EXTENDED WARRANTY , FABRIC PROTECTION etc sold by retailers. This is a pure cash cow for them & is not really worth it & very expensive.
Also the Store credit cards & financing is very expensive in the long run as they will have administrative fees, high interest etc.
So don't fall for NO INTEREST , NO PAYMENT for X amount of months & other types of financing scams.
If possible pay in cash or you regular credit card like Master Card , Visa etc ..and pay the bill off ASAP, so you DON'T incur interest charges.
Easy Credit & Easy Financing has ruined the lives of many finacially illiterate desis in the long run. Easy to go into debt in Canada..so BUYER BEWARE ..don't be KANJOOS , but don't buy things you can't afford & try to show off by buying on financing.

One thing that I always tell people to put in their resume is this :
Always say that you graduated from a Canadian university. for a $ 15 office job they will not check it.
My resume was going to the grabage (during 2009 recession) till I said that. I told them that I had a diploma in Archietcture from Cenntenial college. Immediately I was called for the interview and given a test for a $ 16 an hour job.
The funny thing is that another real centtenial college girl applied and she was selected. I had put my experience as 6 years after graduation and she was 4 years after graduation. She was fixed $ 14.
Putting Canadian diploma in your resume will get you an interview rather than your resume seeing garbage but then it is upto you to use the oppertunity to convince the interviewer. I would recommend immigrants ti put that only when they have had around 6 months experience at timmies or Mcd's. If you are working as labour job, even after 2 years you will not get the Canadian accent or mannerisms.
Sorry to be negetive but these are facts.

Valuable Info from TK as usual. Is Sat. working day for you TK or in India you work from Mon - Fri like Canada ?..is it half day work in India for a Sat ?
If you are doing a labour job , pretend as if you are going to a Gym. and you are getting paid to exercise ..as opposed to paying the Gym to exercise. That's what a Chinese guy once told me
Labour job will make you fit & help you lose weight, so NOT everything is bad about a labour job.

My job is Mon-Sat from 9-6. However I come to office at 10 am and leave at 7:30 pm.
I work 1 hour a day. remaining time is the stock market and CD along with facebook and quora.
My office has given me a office laptop with internet connection. So from 11 pm to 1 am I am in CD and face book.
Agree on the Gym part :
I once got a job in UPS of arranging parcels in trucks. it was a union job at $ 9 an hour (2002). It was 4 hours daily (7pm to 11 pm). I thought that this will be a good way of getting money while I look for work in the morning. The white guy told me that his body got fit after doing this for 3 years. However I could do it only one day. It was a painful task (even at 10 deg weather). I stopped after one day. After 3 months, I got another labour job in a printing press for $ 8. It was 12 hour job. That one was OK. My body was so much fitter after doing it. I worked there for 1 month before I got another desk job for $ 10 an hour. I worked there for 6.5 years before being fired in Feb 2009

Is it only you or are you running a BPO (Call centre office) where the internet connection will be one whereas the humans will change as per shift. Every warm body that comes will reply to questions on CD.
You canot be human. I am seeing continuous postings from you for the past 16 hours. Are you boothnath in disguise (one avatar)?
