with no job offer ,which place you would suggest to land at and search for living
Meenakshi:
As said before, I would not recommend you to migrate to Canada but if you do want to, Toronto would be the best place for banking and IT.
If your fear is of the initial expenses, you need not worry. I can help you settle down very cheaply. You may have to bring around $ 15,000 or so for the family but once you enter inside Canada, you can send all the money outside.
Your initial expenses :
1. Apartment. Basement at Old Dundas Street - $ 850 rent. Initially you have to give 2 months rent. So $ 1700.
2. Initial furniture - come in summer and buy everything in Garage sale. Garage sale happens mostly on Saturdays from 8 am and most good stuff will go by noon. Bring mats to sleep. Cost- Not more than $500.
3. Food - Buy in local stores like food basics. Go to food banks for free food. To soup kitchen's for prepared food. All free.
4. Tv/ Cable/ internet - Bring laptop from India. Bring also your LCD TV from India. Get conenction from primus for phone / cable / internet. Not more than $ 100. Buy printer from walmart.
5. Bus fare - Travel by bus. Get bus passes. May be $ 3.0 per ride.
6. School - School is all free. No need uniform. You will be given admission once you get the lease agreement done. Some schools offer free breakfast or free lunch.
Hope this helps.

Your 5-year-old might be 6-year-old by the time you immigrate and will be in Grade 1. After school day care might be required if both of you are working 9 to 5 jobs and it will be in the range of $300 per month.
All these things come later. Have you done basic research about your field and your husband's field of work?
1. First have you found out if you qualify?
2. Have you found out anything about Banking sector jobs in Canada? Have you tried to network with anybody working in this field in Canada?
3. Have you looked at the Canadian job sites and do they have good number of jobs to which you qualify to apply in your field?
Most likely your husband will not start with a supervisory role. Is he prepared to start at a lower level? It is unlikely that someone is going to hire a new immigrant in a supervisory role who does not know the local Canadian market, local Canadian laws, local working style to supervise their Canadian workers.

Adam,
Nice to see you back.
To Meenakshi:
As I have said before, your husband will likely start at the lower end of the ladder , possibly a teller.
Of course, Toronto is the financial capital of Canada and the best banks are located downtown. But it will be very very hard to get a job there (with indian experience).
Hope one Mr. Lali of CD will help you in this.
And regarding your experience, I am really not sure, if you will appeal to the IT industry here. They need mostly developers and then BA's and PM's here.
