I do not agree with you on this point. Canadian economy is generating 1000s of jobs. But most of (if not all) the good jobs are not given to eligible VM immigrants. VM immigrants are offered job only when an eligible Canadian (white) person is not available (Again in most of the cases). Just read an article appeared in today’s Star, it is very clear that Canada need only skilled labor not professionals. One thing I could not understand, eligibility of an independent immigration applicant is assessed on the basis of his/her professional qualifications, employability, language skills , how come all those factor become “0” once immigrant land in Canada. No employer would recognize their education, experience, etc. Don’t you think Government should do something about this?

Whther he or she is black,white oe even blue. Everywhere in life there is prejudice and all these statistics in my opionion are a load of BS. And please do not think I feel for all the unfortuante people who struggle when they come here but that is reality. White people struggle too just a much.
Well... it is your very own point of view.. I would not say that all these Statistics ( from the Govt. of Canada, NGO or other organizations) are "LOAD OF BS", what I feel that you simply don't want to accept the truth, I don't have any problem with that. I don't want to force these stats on anyone. It is up to you believe these stats or not.

Not true at all, this is either a myth or an excuse. Every company I've worked for in Canada has hired visible minorities when they could easily have hired a "white Canadian guy". As a matter of fact, the agency that sent me for an interview to the Company I currently work for also sent 2 "white Canadian guys" for the same job. My "white canadian" boss found my qualifications and communication skills better and hired me. In the last year, the same "White Canadian" boss has hired a total of 4 people. SURPRISE!! They're all visible minorities AND ALL immigrants. Boy, is this guy a nutcase or what, huh?
There are thousands of visible minority individuals in Canada with very decent jobs. Are there no whites to fill these jobs? Or maybe this is because of the other ridiculous stereotype "All whites are stupid, they don't know anything. They're just lucky."? Or maybe the majority is the exception?
Companies that hire based on race as opposed to talent will eventually perish, that's economics 101.
Sure, there may be some favouritism going on at some places, but we're as guilty of it as they are.

Sorry Bio. To me, this is a classic example of a misrepresented fact. Can you get me stats on how many VMs actually APPLY for police jobs? How many Indian parents say they want their kids to grow up and become cops?
The police force in Toronto actually holds several drives to encourage visible minorities to apply. Hmm...I wonder if this is some kind of a anti-immigrant conspiracy

Well it was just an example I can not arrange details on this ( although % is correct)
.You might have heard in news within last year ( since this racial profiling issue erupted) that lot of organization pointed finger towrads this odd % of VM in the Police Force. Finally around 2 months before Police accepted the fact and started a drive to recruit VM Cops.
