Very True Jake... let me correct some numbers... Hindus are 65-70% in India, 25-30% Muslims and rest other... If you go by these number India should be a Hindu Nation but officially it is secular country.
India is a Hindu nation ( thats what you suggested) but they claim they are a Secular Nation ( Thats what law says) so I think in same way you are trying to support Mercury. Canada is a White nation ( if I go with your formula on India) but they claim they are Multicultural Nation ( thats what law says).
So according to you Canada should call itself a white nation not the Multicultural nation, isn't it?
Regards and regards.

Here's something worth sharing with everyone. The much touted and highly successful scramjet experiment research by NASA was led by an Indian, Arun Kumar.

Luckily for Arun, in the 30 years years or so that he's been in the United States
1) There was never a single instance of racism.
2) He found jobs within 1 week of applying everytime.
3) There was never any favoritism at NASA and no glass ceilings.
4) His car never had a flat on the road.
5) While selecting keys from a bunch, he always got the right one the first time around.
I'm assuming all this never happened to him because otherwise he would have cursed the U.S., packed his bags and gone back to India. What a lucky guy!

Secularism and Multi-culturalism are 2 different things though not totally exclusive.
One is being equally detached from all religions, the other is a celebration of all cultures and promotion of diversity. Just because you have 1 member of every country at a place doesnt make it multicultural (sure technically it does). India is both Secular and Multi cultural. One example is that in India we have holidays for all the religious festivals, not so in canada, which technically makes Canada neither Secular nor multi-cultural.....at least thats the conclusion.
I am not trying to bash canada, I am sure they have good intentions when they bring such diverse peoples to their shores, but if I am not wrong in terms of history they are a very very young nation and this "multi-culturalism" even younger.........ragards. No comparison with India....

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.
Indian is a mess when it comes to holidays. They have so many holidays for every damn thing that it crumples the economy (but I like the holidays). Canada doesn't offer any religious holidays except for Easter and Christmas which are so old that they can't really change them. Infact more companies and government bodies make sure they try to call the Christmas period as "Seasonal greetings" or "happy holidays" .. though I know that does not make sense, but they are trying to remove the christian sentiment from the holiday season. Apart from this I think religions get equal status.
Yes religions don't have the same popularity as in india but thats a different matter.
