Quite interesting observation. Rothschild family does control almost all countries in the world. Up to what extend that's a thing to debate. I really don't read too much into Trump's visits, but his choices are definitely noteworthy. Visits to those countries don't really match with his election campaign and so someone could be behind him.

India has already started to counter CPEC, with Japan.
India and Japan are planning on various infrastructural projects in Africa, Iran, Sri Lanka and South East Asia.
Japan, along with India, will help Iran with the Chabahar Port.
It will help India expand the Trincomalee Port in Sri Lanka too.
The two countries will also develop Dawei Port along Thai-Myanmar border.
In 2015, India started working on the Cotton Road, to counter China’s Silk Road. Unfortunately, as there is little dialogue and coordination between India and Central Asian Republics as cotton producers, the Cotton Road will take some time.
One of the benefits of joining OBOR is that we may get access to more energy. Energy is an essential part of development of a country. To counter this, the Indian Government has worked a lot in developing clean, renewable sources of energy in our country. This is beneficial in the long run.

Couldn't agree more. While I love and appreciate peaceful neighbors, history says that most of the technical and economical advancements happens when your country is 'at war' against someone. An USA with mighty USSR was much better than now. And we know all the innovations happened during the time of world wars.
Going back to the times of Gupta's and Maurya's, they were big kingdoms, always at war with others, and yet gave the best time for India in terms of innovations, art, culture etc. in the recorded history.

I didn't knew about this Cotton Road. No more progress on that?

I think it was called Silk Road
OBOR or any other trade route is good for any country ... Yes india might lose bit on not joining BUT again if we join OBOR then we lose the power on POK.
National sovereignty must be protected without hesitation . I m with Modi govt on this.

Today's news reports suggest US too will get involve with India, or it will involve India, to counter China's OBOR initiative. It means reviving Cotton road as well.
Not sure what difference US will make, but for some of the nations, financial support from the US will expedite the process.
Things are moving faster than I thought.
