Bug keeps us on duty well alert and active.

Keep it. We can definately handle this at all times and odds.

I have been here only for a few months but so far I like the feeling of living close to North Pole. When i get together with my friends and discuss weather situations in their places (On Phone/Yahoo!) I am the one with the best winter score.. Fills me with pride..

I do like other things like plenty of favorite Italian food.. but if not for the winter.. Canada would not be so much fun!

This was a long lost thread. But its never too late to update what one likes about Canada.
Of all the things mentioned in the previous posts, I love all of that about Canada. in addition to all those i like

1. A classless society - Almost - Everyworking person can afford a good lifestyle. The janitor in my office went on a vacation to Florida 2 weeks ago.

2. Approachable and accountable govt - someone i know wrote to a Govt minister on an issue and within a week got a written response and followup.

3. One can think of changing career anytime in career, as long as one is ready to work and study for it. ( A VP in my company 50+yrs in age was a fisherman , then professional singer till 35 later he did his MBA and is where he is)

4. number of Govt programs available to help one start a business or develop new skills.

5. EI protection , which is a valuable buffer to take some mental stress away from job uncertainity.

6. Clean environment, courteous ppeople . Social justice , one does not have to grease the palms of local authorities for getting anything done.

7. the list goes on but i must also mention - Krispy creme original glazed donuts.
