It just means that there are not enough jobs.

This then leads to resentment towards the Canadian government that gives a twisted and unreal picture of the employment situation here to the potential immigrant.

Wouldn't this mandate extra focus on soft skills then? If there aren't enough jobs, then you absolutely need every edge you can get, right?

If I had two candidates in front on me and they both had the same technical skill level however one was significantly better in articulating his views, I'd hire him hands down. I think most sane people would. And it would not matter whether this job paid 20K or 200K.

Hi Crenshaw

Please do'nt mind u use very blunt language. U can write like this because u r living cozy life. Please bear with hard facts. There are so many people who have even lot come to canadiandesi.com
I understand ur feelings don't give up. But after doing two or three years in mazdoori ask a professional how he or she feels. Please we have to raise our voice against this racist regime.

Be humble when writing. Orignal topic US Vs CA
Yes US is better place to live in.

Humility seems 2 b not there in Cren's dictionary .

Guys v have dscsd the imp of communication skills . But tell me if I m wrong here:

V do ned basic communication skills as they are meant 4 getting r point across but we dont need 2 b a wizrd in a language 2 do a job skilfully. For that whats more imp is knowledge & skills . Except of course if a job is manager or salesman .

I have known a good no. of programmers / doctors
having average linguistic skills but good professional ability appreciated by their Comapnies & colleagues in the US for the technical value addition they make . On the contrary ppl with good language skills and below average technical skills dont deserve their positions .

Whom wud u prefer a doctor with 40% communication skills & 60 % technical skills or a doctor who has 60% language skills & 40% technical skills .......................... A doc who knows how 2 say "Hi Hows it going....... have a nice day etc ...................." and doesnt have good diagnostic skills is a risk........ And if people or society dont recognise this --then for sure they are making a farce of communication skill .

Manasvi Sharma.

This goes with the topic BTW as I m trying 2 prove that the same doc who wud b appreciated in the US wud b scorned / ridiculed in Canada for his lack of communicaiton skills .

I believe we have talked about this before.

And whats wrong with being a "Code Monkey"?
I dont want to make comments on the 'other' type out there.

Infact define Code monkey and also tell how far he or she can go up the ladder. then we can compare it with reality.

Pray tell, Mr Jake.

How?

If there was no Job, why would you be interviewing the two people?

The statement I was responding to was there aren't enough jobs. Are you saying there's no jobs in Canada?

Raise your voice by all means, just don't make unreasonable posts - (like saying that only illiterate people like Canada).

You talk about humility, you should show some. You've not been able to find a job, accept that YOU have shortcomings rather than putting the blame on someone else.
