In the US if you have a decent job, the health care insurance premium is taken care by your company, atleast a major part if not the complete thing.
Yeah...thanx for pointing out the spelling mistakes.
I would say that manjeet's post is a good one ... MINUS the spelling mistakes
and it again proves that US has much more opportunities.Such a job with this Hinglish!
I also met one US guy at Chandigarh( long back when I also did Oracle DBA ) where he had come to learn Oracle. He did not know much of computers and still he was earning good money. He was plain and open about it. the point is not to be jealous....It is US.
My question elsewhere still remains unanswered....
Anybody providing info on prospects of:
1. CFA
2. Insurance Course of US Insurance Institute ( Fullprogramme similar to CIP program of Canada).... can it get an entry for Canadians

1. Owr own countrymen: Yes, our fellow indians who come to canada in hordes, most of them illegally, seeking refugee status. Most of them are uneducated and paint a very bad picture of India. I refuse to be a part of that crowd. Not to say they indulge in illegal activities and act like holigans. Indians in the US are educated and you will rarely find anyone indulging in illegal activities. Infact they are considered to be one of the most peace loving communities.
US made the same mistake in the seventies and eighties by letting all the uneducated mexicans and puerto ricans enter the country (legally and illegally), now they are paying the price. Hispanics down there are a pain in the butt of the law enforcement agencies. Indians here in canada are on the same path.
Cheers,
Manjeet

2. Racial Descrimination: Another prominent reason. I've lived in the US for about three years and never came across a single incidence of racial descrimination against Indians (I'm not talking about blacks and whites here). The Indians living in the US are highly educated maintaining one of the best living standards possible. I've spent a little more than a year in canada and have numerous examples when I have been racially descriminated (both at work and on the streets). Candians cannot fathom the excistence of an educated south asian, thanx to our indian brothers again. To many people it might not make a difference, but to me it does and that too a big one.
