Mr. Blue lobster it is possible that you might be one of the few persons who got a good luck to find a good job without struggle but most of people are still searching for the right job even after 5-10 years of landing. As you say that there would not be so many immigrants in Canada, they would all go back is probably you could not think about their problems. Do you think Gulam Rasool will be happy after he has gone back to India? No and it is possible that he may have to come back again after some time as he would have already lost his previous job in India and at this age he will not find a good job in India as well. Here at least he can do a job of a laborer but in India he cannot do that too as it will be against the dignity there. Here at least no body to see what you are doing. I am here too because I have left my job in India. I did a mistake 6 years back and I have to reap the fruit for what I sowed at that time. I have to keep a harmony to live because of my kids so that they can live a good life. The sacrifice I am doing for them and that is the real situation with those 95% people who don’t go back. IT IS NOT TRUE THAT THEY DON’T WANT TO GO BACK BUT THE REAL PROBLEM IS THAT THEY HAVE BURNT THEIR BOATS IN WHICH THEY CAME HERE SO HOW TO GO BACK.

Umm...Sorry, I missed your question in that thread.

To answer the first question, yes I consider myself extremely fortunate, not just in Canada but in life. Does that mean I've never gone through any tough times? I have, buddy. Some very tough times. Its not stuff I can discuss here on the net.

Also, I don't look down upon those who are not doing well. And I NEVER for once believe that its because they're not trying hard enough, circumstances sometimes do get the better of you. So please don't get the wrong idea.

The only point I'm trying to make is you gotta keep trying. These things happen in life and all YOU can do is to make the most of what you have. The other choice is to quit the environment that causes you so much pain, in other words, go back. But if you decide that you can't or don't want to go back, try to enjoy whatever you can here. You owe it to yourself and your family.

Rest is up to you.

I feel like crying, and I cry in pain everyday seeing old man , as old as 55 years going for labour job in factory at 7 P.M. IN evening and comes back early in the morning at 5 a.m. after long travel just to survive. though he may be a scientist back home from a reputable university in India.

Do you only cry when you see scientists/doctors doing labour jobs? If you see a hungry poor man in India who's the same age and pulling a bullock cart on the street, how do you feel? And there's no guarantee he'll get a full meal at the end of the day, someone doing a labour job here is at least assured that.

this is the kind of attitude which is probably the reason why those people who dont succeed are in the situation they are in... enough said...

Oh really But i am very successful, but not by paying so much of taxes to canadian govt. So you think if you pay more and more and work hard like donkey you can be successful in Canada. And if you think this amount is not big for the very first month of our immigration for the canadian govt as taxes then how much do you think is sufficient.?

Well I need to hear atleast 50% of success stories out of all immigrants, then i will believe your theory and probably pay 99% of my earnings to canadian govt to make it rich and you guys will be happy from our khoon and pasina.....

Yes I do cry for poor in india who pull cart at the age of 80, but then they have not travelled 12000 kms and are not immigrants. Those poor in India are poor from beginning due to our country's condition(whatever, it is not the subject to disucss here) but people who already had better life in India who now pull cart in Canada after travelling 12000 over kms--- is it advisable? Kindly comment.

Every time your answer is Go back to India if you have problem in Canada.
Mr. BlueLobster people know the way of India. If people has problem in Canada then they can express what they have suffered here. You should not have any objection.
If you have nice life and good experience in Canada then can disclose here, no problem but you cant stop the others to disclose their feelings.

If any patient complaining every time about his disease then we cannot say that why are you living? Haa haa

You know that our degree and experience is not valid here. WHY? Do you have any idea?

More next time, its time for going home.

Bye and take care

its a logical answer isnt it? there must have been a reason why you came to canada... for some, its a better life, for some its adventure... for some its because everyone else is going... whatever the reason, there was one... now if you are so unhappy about your move, whats wrong if someone tells you "dude, if you dont like it here and are in so much pain, why not go back?"

you are entitled to your opinion, and i dont think he is asking you not to express yours... its a different point of view... you have yours, he has his, and you are both entitled to them... last i checked, its guranteed by the canadian charter of rights...

just because someone dosnt agree with you dosnt mean they are telling you not to talk about it...

look, the thing is, whats been happening lately is, only negative posts are showing up on the internet about how bad people are over here after immigrating... thats not entirely true... there are many success stories... the whole point of this discussion is, when a prospective imigrant reads up about the situation, its unfair to have only one side of the coin displayed... the right thing to do is, let them know truthfully... yes there are people who are in deep trouble... but there are also a lot of people who have made it and achieved or are in the process of achieveing what they set out to accomplish...

why not? if i see someone who has a disease and he sits next to me and starts coughing and spitting in my direction, i would walk away... whats wrong with that? i would much rather he go back to a doctor and get help rather than infect me with it... and thats just what pessimism is...

btw, the patient with a disease analogy is yours, not mine, so dont start screaming that im calling failed immigrants that...

yes, because most degrees and experience coming out along with most immigrants can be easily faked... did you ever think why a comparable person from europe or the states never has to go through this kind of thing? and whose fault is that?

you guys talk about phd's and masters... last i checked, you can become a masters degree holder for about a thousand rupees...

again, whose fault is that? canada's?

Kap,

This post was a reply to someone else, you never responded to the previous one that I specifically asked you. I can only wonder why.

Anyways, please show me a post of mine where I'm stopping people from "expressing their point of view". Again, please no roundabout answers, just show me the post.
