I agree with mercury6, and would like to take it more of driving force. I was in the same boat, and now my stay in Canada, I know, is going to bring far better amounts within two years. Rest of things apart from money, I dont prefer to talk about, you all know that.

Negotiations are on. They offered me 10 lacs CTC. After taxes I get around 65K in hand and I am not willing to go less than 14 lacs CTC atleast. The market is pretty good for SAP and particulary for FI/CO. My Job in UAE is permenant,client side and well paid.

As far as process trend considered I may get a call from Canada by Next March or May. Thinking from this angle too before accepting Indian offer.
Advantage in Indian IT is that you get Indian salary as well project allowance if you are sent on project.

Indian pay strctures changed a lot these days.

I have to beg your pardon ..........permanent well paying job in UAE --Did I read correctly ................. y look anywhere else .......... y trade ur permanent bliss with uncertainity ? Think twice .

We need more such pats to fuel more spirits! People are immigrating into Canada given the mindset of an American dream forgetting that Canada is so small a country and an economy in comparison!
