I got very valuable points while going through this threa. I found
www. R2India.com , another website for Return to india and found lot more information. If some one rally intersted and have some doubt than I recommend to vist.
Here , my basic question was that with growing economy , india is quite comparable. Here in this forum I am not sure how many people answered and they have situaltion What I am describinbg. Situation varies with family back ground. If u have teen age childerns than there will be different situation and if you have 5-7 years old kids than situation will be different. If you good job prospectus tha situation is differnt too. Also where u are living that is also Important. I am not discouraging other people but if I have tomlive in some states in Wester or sourthen part of India than situation is different than easter or Norther part of India. That is not possible in every case.
Very much so - although the scenario changes with a change in circumstance viz the kind of job / salary you are returning back to I feel (at least for myself) that beyond salaries and life styles there may be other things which bind / un bind us to a place for eg some desis may not wish to return even if offered fat pay packets and at the same time - its only a minuscule of Indian population which decides to immigrate - the majority including some highly qualified and earning people decide to stay back.
I guess those somethings have ,ore to do with how we define success and achievement in life which may be very subjective.

A village saying in Tamil Nadu goes “Coming in opposite directions, two wise men will have 3 lanes, 2 if one of them happen to be not wise and only one lane when both are not so”. It is exactly this wisdom of the poor and illiterate down the ages, which has prevented blood letting in India like during the French, Russian or Chinese Revolutions. The simple and frugal lifestyle of those people has catapulted nine out of ten of the so-called “successful Desis” living in America. Whether the latter will be able to replicate the success of their parents (in educating and seeing their wards well off) will be a moot point. With the permissiveness in the New World and deceptions where sub-standard can pass of as sub-prime, their children’s future may be anywhere from being fishermen in Arctic or ending up as cowboys in Ushuaia.
Secondly, there is this frequent talk of the Indian government’s reservation policy. In TN itself we have districts with poor resources like Sivakasi, Tirupur and Namakkal bustling with entrepreneurship and success. None of them there expected government to provide them education or employment. There are many such industrial towns all over the country. None of the business people there have gone to the prestigious business schools, which place their students on tens of lacs salary according to news channels. Nobody in the media take care to find out, how many of them retained their jobs at the end of the 1st year. Falling prey to this type of glamour and false reporting, most people take up immigration. It is better to acknowledge this, make a decision for good and return to India. By cheating others that they are big successes in America, people cheat themselves and only become more miserable failures.

Someone said on this thread itself that Canada needs a perennial flow of English speaking qualified people who can work in odd jobs - which I believe is not an understatement as a majority of well qualified immigrants who were in respectable jobs in their own home countries are doing odd jobs because the system & economy does not absorb them - possibly never intended to .
Otherwise how would engineers , phd s , PG s land in menial Tim Horton s / security / cabbie jobs ?? The fact is that for every Immigrant earning > 60K there are 10 who are getting 36K . Look around . And the vicious circle is such that 2 years in an un related work and its harder to come back to your original stream .
Immigration is a major decision and people who have better options and are able to do their homework think twice . These days the proportion of people wanting to immigrate is lessening - those who are caught in the quandary are the ones who are earning average salaries in India and see little hope - when they land they realize the vagaries --- sadly there s no way of simulating what lies ahead or to forecast the future - the proof of pudding lies in eating it .

I'll repeat DON'T JUDGE PEOPLE ON THIS BOARD ... YOU ARE NOTHING.
You have done your schooling in Internation School & in Germany ... and you still talk about Patriotism. It reminds me of "Na Ghar ka Na Ghat Ka"
