I write this with nothing but anguish. I have been a contributor to this forum for a considerably long time. Not a week goes by without INDIA bashing or CANADA bashing. While the moderators have been good enough to allow us to vent our feelings, what good does it serve to just bash, downgrade India or Canada?

Like one of the earlier contributors said, the thread gets hijacked to the extent that we lose track of what the original message is.

My two cents:

There are amazing things about this country. From someone who has had nothing but bad experiences, this country is #@%^&$# (I leave it to your imagination to use the right adjectives). On the other hand, for someone like me this is paradise (not withstanding the fact that there are downsides to living here).

Now that does NOT make me less patriotic. My personal philosophy is simple:

You will make it (and keep trying till you do), if you have the courage to introspect (if you haven't succeeded, because success will come with continued effort).

Ont the other hand, if you believe you can't succeed because of the plethora of reasons, you should not stay one moment more here - that is not good for your mind, body and spirit.

It serves no purpose to have this endless discussion about how CANADA is bad (0r why India is a better place). I can say this with a high degree of accuracy - those who decry this county did not try hard (they just gave up!). There are examples of people who rose over petty things like jealousy, racism, the multitude of barriers that we face here -

The important thing is how much are you willing to do to reach there?

Let us not clog this forum with abuse, expletives: If we can learn from each other, it would go a long way to enrich our lives,

No wonder why lots of restaurant guy in europe are used to asked - "aapke paas paper hai kya' when I used to say I am on work permit they use to have hard time to understand it.

I will write my whole experience what people can do to get visa or what extend they can go offcourse those will have hard time to understand how can any one get valid visa.

You can take a moron out of India .... but you cannot take India out of a moron... you have just shown the kind of attitude i was talking about. The kind of contempt you have shown for your fellow countrymen is what i am talking about. Did you ask the guys in the restaurant which passport they had. If they had Indian passport then they were Indian citizens ...... so what is the difference between you & them ...... You seem to have a fixation to the Indian passport but an indian working as a cabbie or a cleaner has no value for you. You can wear you nationalism on your heart but seem to forget the values that go with it.................

So you have the work permit to work outside India, what is the big deal. I know a couple of trailer drivers who are on work permit here ..... we need hard working people here in Canada .... so keep doing your job

Man I have no problem with anybody and with anyone's job.I believe in the fact that - Kaam kaam hota hai koi kaam chota bada nahi hota hai.

I was just trying to explain to those people, who have hard time with my age with year of experience.

No offense to anyone.

I don't understand why people are so much concern about PR/Citizenship of Canada, everybody knows any Tom Dick and Harry can get it so do I.So please stop writing this again and again and focus on main topic if you can contribute something or move on.

Holi ki shubhkamanye to all.

The outcome of this thread was not rocket science. We all knew that the thread will loose its objective as have many such threads on India v/s Canada topic. Both the countries are great to live in and both are not so great. So there can be no definite answer as in Yes or No, but only a question of choice.

I jumped into the thread only when I saw it going nowhere. So no question me hijacking the thread.

No one asked nirdosh dil to post his personal info. He did it on his own to prove whatever he wanted to. And he ended up with a mouth bigger than his foot.
