I loved 'MALGUDI DAYS'.......the intro song was simple and superb.....it goes like "taaana na nana nana na"......does it ring a bell ? I guess most of you'll have forgotton it. And then there was 'Tenali Rama'.
The earliest english serial I remember is 'old fox'.....and it was in Black&white.....can u imagine that?
Erebello, you are right. The old fox was one of th first few serials in english.
Besides the 'old fox', Star trek was quite a hit. I remember how all the kids used to wait for sunday 11.00 hrs, for the serial to be telecast .
Cheers,
Ayaskant.

To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.

There was also a cheezy German serial
"Didi's comedy show"
& a cheap american series..
"Night Rider" or something like that...
MRF radial tires was a sponsor of that show... They also had a black-helmet rider as their logo

If I am wrong, pl. correct me.
Ashutosh Rana and Sahrukh Khan appeared first time on screen in Junoon and Fauzi respectively.
I personally liked Humlog, Junoon, TamaS, kab Tak Pukarron, Bharat Ek Khoj, Ados Pados, Malgudi Days, Ye JoHai Jindagi. Is any one available on CD/DVD?
