Just recalled one really old serial. I can't remember the storyline, but I think it was a family comedy or series. The name is 'Dekho Magar Pyar Se' - aired on Sunday afternoon. It's title song had the number of fish in the water, and the song goes like this - Dekho Dekho Deikho magar pyar se, Dekho Dekho Deikho magar pyar se, kabhi aar se, kabhi paar se, duniya ka traffic guzarta rahega, tum dekho magar pyar se...

Good to see that old DD serials are still alive in our memories...I think those themes and subjects were better that the typical Saas Bahu , Shadi Wadi type that are running all over the channels and there is no place for a breather for people like us who are thirsty for some refreshing soothing or awakening themes!!!

"Bibi Natiyon Wali";"Vikram aur Waitaal"
"Katha Sagar"
and Vinod Dua's "Aap Aur Hum"...he was awesome.

There was another one our hot favourite as kids on Sunday Mornings..it was a german Game Show with two teams competing in Fun Games..something like "Teleplay "..does anyone remeber the name

It was called "Telematch" ..i was never big time into cricket and remember watching Telematch as a welcome break between some cricket matches that DD aired.

BTW as of now the only desi serials that are refreshers for me are "Baa Bahoo aur Baby" and "Chaabi hai pados mein" that are probably more real life than most other serials that makes one believe that every other person is out to get you..what ludicrous and pathetic story lines

I agree with u ...but don't u think these current saas n all soaps have captured most of the female population of our community.I dont remember my mom ever sitting in front of idiot box before the onset of these soaps. Now i see ladies more interested aware and talking about tv than any other section of our society!!!(though its mostly thse soaps and nothing else).Even the news channels are no different ...they r also on the lookout for such cases and show them with all masala etc...
