I think u guys forgets 2 great serials which used to come on sunday morning times ago. "Phir Wohi Talash' nad 'Neev'. Anybody seen the serail called 'Darpan' which had a small new story for each episode of different part of India.

I seen serial 'Mr. Yogi'. here. It is avaliable in Toronto Public Library

Someone here mentioned about Pak serials. They mentioned DHOOP KINARE and CHAND GRAHAN. I would like to add atleast two more names, TANHAYIAN and DASTAK. I saw many more of those but cannot recollect the names.
Among the DD serials I use to watch Donald Duck , Jungle book, Mahabharat, Nukkad, Buniyad, Hum Log.
Comedy serials like Flopp show and Ulta pulta (Jaspal Bhatti), Dekh Bhai Dekh, Rajani, Idhar Udhar.
The list goes on.
Not to forget Sherloke Holmes and Star Trek (The first series only)
Present days Ekta Kapoor has really messed up everything. Not one bit of it is reality. Although these serials are mass favourites but they are quite rotten. They show how one can just one can play with family values and so on. That brings up another thing, is there censor board for TV serials also, like we have censor board for films. If there isn't any, then there should be one and they should censor all Ekta Kapoor serials.

Good thread. Makes you think what we use to watch and what crap we get these days.

Forgot about Jassi Jasi Koi Nahin. One of the best serials in present times. These days Jassi is going thru an evolution and the real Jassi is coming out. BTW did anyone see the Femina Miss India contest on Sunday night. Who was the lady host??? Any guesses........

Mannat, I dunno of anyone talking abt Pak serials.. You seem to be the first one. However, if you have any information abt Pak serials..please do start a new thread.. It may help others also..

Jassi and stuff are not "old" serials.. Many folks may not even be aware of that serial (though I heard its quite an inspirational serial)... I will agree with u on one point.. Ekta Kapoor's serials stink big time ! (she had that hilariuous Hum Paanch..and now look what she dishes out !)

videoa are there everywhere..though I did not really like the serial. There are hundreds like it.
