Someone signs on with 5 ids of different genders (each supporting the other), vanishes into thin air when caught and resurfaces crapping into people's posts with a lingo that quite a few people found stupid and annoying. What do you call that?

trans-gender?
trans-sexual?
nothing wrong with either

but
trans-morgcrapper?
;)

As I said earlier it is natural to disagree with one another because that is how we are all made of. Please let us agree to disagree without being political. We are putting up an argument here to ease the lives of those so called \"unsucessful\" but professionally qualified, talented and skilled people ( but unlucky) who have refused to be duped and convinced by this system in their own way. Is that a big sin?

If you sre successful it is great but what about the lives and families of the majority who are struggling to have just a basic decent life, forget a comfortable one. Can we talk about that or not? I once again appeal to you to respect each other's views and refrain from blaiming each other.

Like Swami VIvekananda once said,\" If we had a handful of Hindus with militant nature, the Englishman could not have ruled over us for a century.\" It is high time we learned from this great soul from Bharat.

hi Puru,

I have read your views . you have genuine cause but i afraid there will not be much effect. Candian government already knows about the plight of immigrants. but they do what suits them.
for one immigrants who returns to his native country there are thousand who stands in the que to move to canada.
I think whole things revolve around the recognition of foreign qualifications and experience. it is right the indian credientials hold good in quality but you know immigrants from whole world moves to canada and it is not easy task that their educational qualification could be assessed easily in terms of needs of canadian jobs.
As Rajan Desai, another CD friend has rightly pointed out that initially a new immigrant fails to get job in his related line but after working in for even odd jobs he get considered for a job in his relevant field.
what i think is the employer looks whether a job seeker is well suited to the position or not. obviously after spending some time , may be doing odd jobs one become familiar with canadian way of life which eventually helps him to fetch the job.
so instead of looking for such united effort for such cause if one concentrate on his individual efforts to update the required skill that will be more beneficial .
I hope you would not take it otherwise. I fully appreciate your concern for the struggling immigrants.

Hi Ptm,

I appreciate your views. You have tried to explain the most vague and ambiguous term \"canadian experience\" in your own way like Rajan did previously.Infact we can all interpret this term in innumerable ways based upon our personal experiences here. But the fact is there is no and I repeat no standard interpretation which can be accepted by all of us unanimously. Isn't it a wonder that no one has dared to ask the makers and exploitors of this term to clarify to us the real meanning?? Isn't it high time they should be asked about it so that immigrants will know and plan and act accordingly. This would save them the trouble to speculate about what the employers really want to hire them.

We have all seen the results of individual efforts here. Look at the overall situation of immigrants. It is far from satisfactory and is worsening everyday with more and more people coming. I believe that every individual has some power within but that is limited. It is only by combining our powers together that we can form a big force to reckon with. You will agree that throughout time whenever people became united there was a movement followed by a change. So if we feel something is wrong somewhere here which affects our lives and that needs to be addressed, then we have to unitedly resolve to fight for the sake of our innocent families who certainly deserved something better in life.

Thanks for your comments.

I agree with this.

The Govt is doing what it can to bring in as many people. And while at it, if it can get the relatively better off (skilled) to come here, then even better. They know the force is with them , by which I mean , no matter what, the lure of "FOREIGN" is still so great and the problem so many back home in India , that people are willing to give it a try. Once here, most people dont just give up in 6 months, 1 year or even more.

The longer you stay , the more dificcult it is to leave.

I, doing a labor job, actually have a significantly better standard of living than many of my, no i would say ALL relatives in India, who are doing much better than me, both financially (relative again) and status-wise.

As Chandresh said , at a certain point the immigrant who is not successful , has to compromise and actually thats what happens in majority of cases.

At this point it's game, set and match to Canada.

When India comes up in the future in a big way and can ensure a general standard of life even somewhat approaching the West, the game can be played again.

But, there is no harm in trying and submitting the memorandum. One can say "We tried". The canadian govt might well be aware of everything.

Something more than that needs to be done.

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.

Certainly there is no harm in submitting the memorandum. The Canadian govt might well be aware of everything but the thing which matters now is that the fact that immigrants have also become aware of everything going on and are organized for a common cause will be known to this govt. This is surely going to make them move, believe it or not. Imagine how much impact a jointly signed memorandum by hundreds of immigrants will have on them! We need solid unity at this critical period.
