Hi Smiley,

Apologize for the delayed response. Yes, the first week at work went on very well. The environment was certainly more professional than my last job in New Jersey. Spent most of the week in training & orientation. Have to be ready to put in a LOT of overtime too!

Well, it's nice to see so many people coming to Vancouver now, reducing the GTA monopoly! I must say that I like Vancouver so much better than GTA, and would encourage people to come here!

Agree with Hope and DesifromUS on their perspective of the area. BTW, the new apartment is pretty close to my place of work (10 mins by walk), and is near Metrotown. Metrotown is ok for just the 2 of us - my wife and myself. Not sure about schooling, though. I have heard of petty thefts, breakins etc., around the area, but overall, I LOVE this place!

We are coming from Dubai and so the info is useful
We want our son to either attend Burnaby Central, Burnaby Mountain or Moscorp Secondary.

If any of your friends have any info on these schools kindly post it here.
Also I have noticed whist surfing / searching rental sites that there are not many Apartment Buildings in the nearby areas of Moscorp and Burnaby Central - is that a correct fact

Would v much appreciate clarification if you can get it

There are mostly Townhouses and houses in the areas of Moscorp and Burnaby central and I am not sure that they are for rentals as such...
