Against the moderators and my own wishes I wish to post this since I feel that some posters are being snubbed at and hence may feel unwelcome 2 post their views -thereby restricting freedom of thoughts -- as some1 said 'crenshaw uses language that hurts'

Manasavi,
All the 7 points attributed to Crenshaw can be attributed to many others too. Some(if not all) to you and some(if not all) to me too. Since you are the one that is hurt you see only one side of the coin. I think Crenshaw plays an as important part as anyone else in maintaining a balance of opinion. As you can see many of us identify with Crenshaw too.

If your 'hurt' is a reason to have a thread to 'analyse' someone...there are enough people to be analysed. If someone posts that 'Canada is full of uneducated people' they should expect a similar kind of reply. AfterAll they are 'hurting' the people who are educated and in Canada. So my suggestion would be for people to stop posting such comments(hurtful) disguised as 'opinions' OR expect the same sort of comments/opinions(hurtful) in reply. Now THAT would be fair instead of asking Crenshaw to accept comments which he finds 'hurtful' without protest(Cren..I know you wont look at it that way...the hurtful part... but sometimes one has to talk to people in a language they understand...or atleast try to :D ).

I agree that Crenshaw could be more sensitive. However, this also applies to others like you and me... Instead of saying that 'Canada is full of uneducated people' or 'good for only low income ppl' or even 'not worth it for professionals'...one could be more sensitive to people who do like Canada and do not see things that way. Would that not be fair? That way everyone has to clean up their attitudes...not just Crenshaw.

If you have a personal issue with Crenshaw why not write to him...who knows you two may even understand each other better.

No its not personal Jake ,

I do acknowledge what u have said and it is correct that people shdnt make personal hurting comments .

But can u name another person who has done it even half no. of times than Crenshaw ? He seems 2 b the epitome of contempt , scorn and insult which may affect the docile posters. Thats y I raised the issue again as I feel his arguments are badly worded and spoil the taste of the disussion leading nowhere.

I have requested and do invite amicable rebuttals but please contemptuous tone maligns the discussion .

And Crenshaw, u never know when ppl will stop even taking note of ur posts and isolate u in ur own world. What ll u done then ?? Have u ever observed how much respect u have on the forum ?

Manasvi.

Don't make irrational comments either. The information that you have 'from your one week visit to Toronto' and from your interactions with 'friends and other posters from Canadiandesi' may not represent all that Canada is about. Learn to understand that there is a lot more to this place, and there there are many immigrant professionals who are doing well professionally (not working at Tim Hortons). If you and your ilk don't make irrational comments, everyone can coexist and you bring your blood pressure down a couple of notches.

Lol, I don't need to worry about that, since you do seem to take notice.......and of course we're keeping my personal thread near the top on the active threads:D............rock on......

On a more serious note, no need for you to worry, I do meet the type of people I want to (and that are beneficial to me) thru the site.....!

How do you solve the problem like Crenshaw?
How do you catch a cloud and pin it down?
How do you solve the word that means Crenshaw?
--Many a thing you know you like to tell him
Many a thing he ought to understand
But how do you make him stay, and listen to all you say?
How do you keep a wave upon the sand?

(Parody taken from Sound of Music, Song: "How do you solve the problem like Maria"?):D
