Dear All,

I am from Chennai, India. Planning to move to Vancouver with my family shortly!

Can anyone please help me with the details of apartments (for rent) where Indian community is largely prevalent, especially in Vancouver City or Richmond/Surrey/Burnaby?

Which area is safe, secure and more suitable to start living?

Any websites for job opportunities?

Hi,
I am from Chennai(Tamil).Have landed from the USA two months back. I live in Vancouver.Husband still works in the US and is looking for a job here.The place where I live is close to bus stops , but there are no Indians nearby.
Bus services are really good. Enga eri enga eranginalum $2.25 in one zone.Though I drive well, I prefer bus.
I have not really explored the city much.
I am not actively looking for a job right now, as I am going to Chennai in two months time.Will be there for some time.

I have never been to any part of BC but I can still put in a few suggestions based on what I have read, known, and met people from there.

I think the best part of BC is West Vancouver, from what I know it has one of the most desirable real estate properties in Canada. That makes is the most expensive place to live, certainly, but I am sure you can always find good neighborhoods or some affordable localities in or nearby this place. North Vancouver is also a nice place. Apart from this I would say, stay away from East Vancouver as it has been described as a ghetto to me. Abbotsford, Burnaby and Kitsilano are OK places.

But if you really get a good job and you are well-off then don't think anything but WestVan. It's regarded as the ultimate.

Any real estate guys here, do you agree??

Could you please let me know the names of the cities in West Vancouver?
