Anybody from Dubai moving/moved to Canada (GTA)

me too similar years but oct 99 to feb 2002

Had a blast of time as we were living in Karama right next door to Pic N Save and another supermarket (forgot what it was). Woodlands was 2 minute walk from where I lived. Ahhh! don't want to be nostalgic

Me too lived around there, lulu's market, woodland and i think after u left Saravan Bhavan: was excellent. oH my miss the El Rancho, have u been there, I think me and my husband has visited pratically every hotel out there, miss the dinning, ambiance. not that we don't here but nothing like dubai. guess what it was affordable there with no taxes and no mortages n other bills to pay but here one has to think twice before being lavish, unless u have tons to spend.

Hello I lived in Dubai as well and was in Karama and Sharjah, I was in Dubai from 1988 to 1998. I enjoyed my stay in the UAE and miss it, those were the days. If only Canada had a Friday gathereing someplace like we had in Al Nasr Square it would be great. Nice forum by the way this is my first post.

did not know if there was some kind of gathering at al nasr but we know we were practically out every weekend either at dinner parties or discos. yes think of it as dubai was a stepping stone to come to canada. canada is not bad, u got to find all the avenues and make it happen
