Yup Dubai was a good place sometime back but now its getting difficult with each passing day with the rents shooting up without any regulators in place, cost of living has touched heights and continues to take a toll on our budget, well all in all one can hardly think of saving any dough as it was in the earlier days... education and medical is so expensive... to cut it short everything is expensive here... the motto of dubai seems to me is YOU EARN HERE AND SPEND IT HERE AS WELL. I have also applied for my canadian migration, hope it comes thru soon, just want to move across to beat these mounting expenses, well its okai if you pay for the expenses but then there has to be some security which is also not here in terms of future and that that wut has got us to apply to migrate or else Dubai is florishing with each pasting day but at wut cost i wonder at times... No more a place for the middle class am sure...

I was in canada for our landing perpose and return back to dubai I work for alwasl hospital in ctg dept may be one of u must have deliver here from 1988 till now same place I live near lulusuper market in karama since begaining don't feel like to leave dubai but no choice have to be in canada by 2008

I agree with you bells, cos now Dubai’s motto is to make sure that all the money is being spent here itself. It’s a hand to mouth existence that many of the people lead here. Every day there is a new rule which makes u feel that any moment u have to leave. Changing jobs is gone more complicated. I feel people back home are leading a much better life than many of us here. Though you pay tax in Canada… In the long run there is a security for you and yr family. By the way I will be leaving to Toronto in the 1st week of Sep. I sincerely wish you luck for yr immigration process to be done soon.

We are from Sharjah and also making our landing in September 1st week..
Which airline you are going thr'? We are actually going on 7 th september.

UAE is not a desirable place nowadays if you are Indian passport holder.
We are also going to make a move if things look survivable in Canada..

Thanx for your reply and congrats on you getting your PR, well I think ours will take sometime coz we just applied in May 2006. Can you please tell me how long did it take for you to get ur PR... just to get a clue as to how long more we will have stand up with this attitude here in Dubai. Now the situation looks more gloomy with the mounting tensions across the middle east... Anyways Hope for the best...
