Big B realised this soon after he posted on his Twitter page, "Someone sent me this on mobile: "When Graham Bell discovered the telephone, he found two missed calls from Rajnikant!!" Brilliant"

He added later, "Ok! Graham Bell 'invented' the telephone ... not 'discovered' as written earlier .. in Rajni joke .. !!! Apologies!!"

But the joke wasn't well-received by fans in Twitter world, some of whom actually got quite angry. Big B then clarified, "Not making fun of him ...praising his status and his greatness ..he is noble successful humble person , and revered like a God."

Big B and Rajnikanth are close friends, of course, and have worked together in the past. The Southern superstar also recently worked with Bachchan bahu Aishwarya in 'Robot'
