Hi Dimple,
I suggest you try calling the VSF No I gave(9054532658) , tell the person you are calling to reconfirm about the call you received from VSF to collect the documents(Just tell them you treceived a call),
And you are calling now just to make sure your time is not wasted as you are travelling from a far off place, I strongly feel this guys have the docs lying with them and not bothering to inform individuals about it.

So I did not quite get from this discussion that how long does it take from day of applying till you get OCI ?

For me and, if I may, for peacock1 - don't know. It is still under progress.

For me...

Doc submission - June 5
Acknowledgement - June 23
Photo scanned - July 10

I want to go to India in Oct end...I am not sure if there is enough time to apply for OCI now ? By the time I prepare all docs it would be July end....

we are going to India in last week of oct and just submitted OCI appln this week. I now seriously hope I get it in time ...
