It took Toronto a looong time to acknowledge my apps, indicating the apps stayed at Toronto for a long time before it was out to Delhi or wherever. Maybe Toronto is slow or backlogs are higher....?

You should take note that CGI Toronto has outsourced collection of applications to VFS. As a result, it is now taking at least 3 times longer than it used to take.

On the other hand, CGI Vancouver is still accepting applications directly from applicants (they are not using VFS yet) and hence their timelines are less longer than CGI Toronto's. If you are applying for OCI, act fast before CGI Vancouver outsources to VFS too.

Approximately 2 weeks for consulate to receive docs from Delhi after being dispatched. About 2 to 5 days to be dispatched by Delhi. Online status will show when received.

OCI applied on July 14th.
OCI Collected on Oct 5th (it was ready on Oct 1st).

Yes, it is possible - I know someone who has done it ... but dont know much details.
