I want to apply PIO Card for my child at VFS , or HCI in ottawa. Is it true that they retain the orginal landing paper , PR card , orginial passport of the parent.
I know for sure they need the birth certificate and Cdn passport of the child for processing PIO card , but the orignals of the parent. are they required?

Most likely the parents' documents have to be sent in support of the minor's application. They will retain all originals, send it to the Indian consulate and return them (who knows how long that might take).

It seems that your application was accepted.
What background was used for the photographs - white or light colored?
I am confused n Not sure, as VFS & Indian Consulate, both websites have different requirement.

Hi,
Please make sure of your photographs be very very sure as these guys are so very fussy and 9/10 times they want to reject because of it at the VFS counter .
There is no point in wasting time as it delays our application.
I got my pictures from "Print 2 go"
Drove all the way from Richmondhill to Mississauga for this photos for OCI

I am assuming you are asking me. I used the specs for the photos noted on VFS website. Had it done locally in Windsor at Lena studios that does every imaginable visa and passport photos....good place.
Well, I am hoping too that they have accepted the photos and application...I'll keep you all updated.

Checked my status online, it says photo scanned on 6th July, Registration under process, Document not printed, looks like things are moving atleast.
