keep your bills at low level. .. especially rent.
Go for office job agencies like manpower/peoplebank etc.. in downtown location.
keep going there again and again.
Go to mentorship program if u have PR which you do not have it seems.
key is to keep paying your bills and keep trying. DO NOT CREATE unnecessary expenses.
once you get in line... start fulfilling your dreams.

Golmal hai... You have to do golmal... but in all this you must still be sincere to yourself and to the work you get.
You also have to "create" references. It is rare to get real good references.

What is your typing speed? Any call centre experience... MINACS?
Find someone working in mINACS to give you reference or get your resume there.
You may need someone from HR to verify the experience!
Where are you located?... Try downtown area.

Pl guide i am planning to land in edmonton in aug 10 looking for jobs in banking sector as am from banking industry related to mortgage loans in india. pl guide what is the job market like in edmonton and job availability there.
Do canadian securities course...as first step. There is no other option, generally speaking.
Go for initial training of resume building etc and hopefully they will link you to some bank. Find out about this once you arrive.
Job scene in Edmonton is easier than GTA. you are lucky that you have system in place to land in Edmonton.
