Thats exactly correct my friend. In my earlier post also i have mentioned that if you live in Toronto, you won't like to live in any other place in USA other than NY City, SFO/ Bay Area (California). Living in Midwest and other cities is like a exile if you move from Toronto area.

Oh yeah? The following are STILL cheaper no matter where you live in the US:
1. Car Insurance
2. Cell Phones
3. Gas
4. Internet and Cable
5. Eating Out
6. Designer Clothes
etc.
etc.
etc.
You get the point.
Anyways, since you "personally haven't lived there", I won't even bother challenging your views any more![]()

Yes everything is expensive here. What next, what do canadians do to lower the prices? Do you have any suggestions or you wanna just sing "price anthem" of US ? Do you have any solution to bring it down? If not then just sit and relax (wait for your passport to go south), beacuse everybody knows that US prices are less than canadian prices.

The correct term is "Star Spangled Banner" and it doesn't have any refrences to prices.
Afterall it's your money.-----------------------------------------------------------------

Hey Spaced Man, I don't sing "price anthem of the US" cuz there is no such thingThe correct term is "Star Spangled Banner" and it doesn't have any refrences to prices.
My solution is simple - I don't buy anything from Canada except groceries & gas. For everything else - be it houseware, clothes, shoes, electronics etc. etc. etc. I go to Buffalo.
Why drive 1.5 hours for stuff I can buy here? - It makes fiscal sense. Even with the gas spent on driving, I still end up saving 25%-35% or even more in some cases.
What about duty at the border? - Well, you just have to get a little creativeAfterall it's your money.
Doesn't this hurt the Canadian Retailers and hence the economy? - You bet it does and I wish more and more people would do so. That's the only way retailers will start to listen and lower their prices.
