Hi guys!We hav just landed in Canada few days back from Dubai.We r in Mississauga.Wud like to make friends with people from dubai/shj also from chandigarh/panchkula/delhi as we r origanlly from there.

If i want to reply to particular canadian desi,how can i do that?

I moved from Dubai / UAE in 2005 and settled down in Toronto.

Personally I know people who came from the Middle East especially Dubai and Abu-Dhabi and were quite disappointed after coming to Canada. Canada is a low income / low profile place as compared to UAE and you need to keep this in mind. Unfortunately no Consultant / Lawyer is going to tell you that. Consultants just want to close the case and get their money.

Only 3-4% of People who migrate to Canada will ever make to the same status which they have before they migrated to Canada. Most of the Immigrants are below the Middle Class Level. The only reason people stay back and struggle here is due to Children - have a better education for them.

Hi there!

We have just moved in our aptmnt.We are here to stay.we are prepared that initially jobs will low paying nd life will not be same like dubai.We are quite positive (atleast for now).

What do u do nd where do u stay?Lets know each other more.

We moved from Sharjah in Nov-2006.
Till now we were staying in toronto, but now we are moving to mississauga.

Hi Vicky..

One more very very imp thing..
If you have got Jewellary with you...keep it in the bank locker immmediately.
Don't keep any valuables in the apartment.

We got nasty surprises not one but two times...
Even if your apartment has good security system it is wise to have a locker and put all valuables in it.
