My two cents.: ...est thing would be to get it done through some of your contacts in Sharjah. Believe me; I had a tough time getting a PCC from Sharjah Police, though I was in Sharjah. But that was partly due to the fact that my visa was from Dubai and I was residing in Sharjah. In my experience, Sharjah Police were quite uncooperative and not willing to help. Every time they kept on finding some excuses for not clearing my case and asked me to go to Dubai Immigration for some or other clarification / information. Many people with Dubai visa faced the same problem with them. If your visa was from Sharjah, then it would be much easier to get a PCC from Sharjah Police. I have seen many people having Sh...

... goes, they take you by bus from Abu Dhabi to Dubai. Canadian passport doesn't need a visa. ABu Dhabi and Dubai are like two provinces of United Arab Emirates. Abu Dhabi to Dubai is 1.5 hours by road. Fido has lot of tips about Dubai. Except me, rest of my extended family lives in Dubai, so never really did sight seeing in my whole life. The old place next to the tunnel is something I liked.... Thats about it.

...Sharjah rents also have gone up since the emirates road came up and also in ajman rents have gone higher due to emirates road. I was personally looking into renting in sharjah a 1 bedroom and it was costing me 40,000 Dhs and 2 bedroom 50,000 Dhs but main problem as known is getting to Dubai for work in the mornings ... it takes 2 hours almost to get to Dubai . I work in Dubai and my husband he works in Sharjah , this way staying in dubai though expensive is saving our time on the roads as i can walk to my work and my husband drives to work and there is hardly any traffic for going from dubai to sharjah as people's jobs r vice versa. Sharjah in some place...

But the problem used to be traffic..... it would take an hour to travel from sharjah to dubai in the morning rush hour. Even though the same could be done in half the time during the day.

Financial Planning: Where to buy gold
Started by: mrpandya on 22 Aug 2014
... Etihad ( Abu Dhabi ) , you get a 96 hour Visa ( for Canadians) for free or a minimal fee. You can buy your jewelry in Dubai itself w/o carrying any bars and you will still get a very fair deal ...Visit Gold Souq in Dubai or Ajanta Jewelers etc in Abu Dhabi.. The market is fair there and the purity of ornaments more authentic then in India .. This way you can have the best of both worlds ..... In India except Tanishq its hard to trust the jeweler's claim of purity ... Tanishq is from Tata hence reliable.

...Timon, A place like Abu Dhabi or Dubai is the best option. Western facilities with eastern culture. Also no taxes. It might be extremely hot but you have ACs. Canada is also extremely cold. Educational institutes like BITS, Pilani have set up base in Dubai. There are Indian schools also. Or else move to India. Try for a good job in an MNC or start out on your own. Rgds.
