( Are you asking about your life or Kids Life) We love Dubai & basically all it has to offer, its just that our kids would have a better life if we move there or this is what I think. (Most of the UAE immigrants have this feel in mind for while later you will use to it...no other choice) Basically kids in Dubai are a confused lot, for them UAE is their home & they cant identify with India & all it has to offer. We are hoping that Canada would be a place that they could call home..... (Agree up to a little on this front bu...

This is because the immigration officials sometimes ask to see that you have funds to support yourself in Canada for upto six months. They may not accept funds in an overseas bank. And they may not accept a plea that you're going to return to the UAE in a short while. Further, as loveland intends to return to the UAE for upto 3 years, it is advisable that he/she does not have anything that the Canadian Revenue Consider as 'Residential Ties to Canada' to avoid being liable for income tax on his/her Global income during that period. ...

...o keep you alive. Years later, the theory has mutated to a financial version - Too Big To Fail. We saw it being played out when governments had no choice but to bail out financial institutions during the meltdown. We are seeing that again with the Dubai bailout. Abu Dhabi, the richest member of the UAE has agreed to bail out neighbouring Dubai. At the last minute. After all, it couldn't let Dubai default without harming its economic interests. Abu Dhabi has provided the Dubai government with US$ 10 bn. That's enough to pay the US$ 4.1 bn due immediately but less than the total debt. As per the New York Times, Dubai World (real estate arm) still owes about US$ 18 bn, Dubai Holding (invest...

The lion opened it quickly but was shocked to see that it contained few bananas. The lion thought that may be they cared too much for him as they were worried about his stomach as he had recently shifted from India. The next day the same thing happened.    ... good one bedroom apartment. Living expenses should be in the region of about QD 2,000 for a reasonable standard of living for a couple. This is of course relative, since one could get by with either a lot less or a lot more - many expats from the sub-continent get by quite frugally. The UAE (read Dubai) is a lot different in terms of costs. Finding a place that compares with a decent apartment in Toronto is expensive - would very well cost in the region of 4k - 5k dirhams (closer to 2,000 bucks Canadian). A lot of sub-continental expats however, live in place called Karama, where the rents are a lot cheaper, I imagine in the region of about 2k - 3k dirhams - however, those apartmen...

Because you have to consider the major expenses .... rent, childrens education & health care . If you calculate these three, it pretty much negates the effect of taxes here in Canada. On the flip side ...... Dubai is a better version on India. You are surrounded by people who look like you & sound like you. During my stay in Dubai i used to speak Hindi all the time ..... even the arabs spoke hindi. I went for my driving test & the Arab guy was talking to me in hindi while i spoke to him in english. The place is very lively and bright....
