Hi Guys,
The rain again played a spoil sport and put a damper on our spirits. We were all looking forward to this meeting.
I have a suggestion. Why not have this meeting at a convenient place indoor where the weather would not tease us like this. I live in a condominium building in Scarborough and we do have a multi purpose room in here which can be very well used for this type of meeting. It can very well accomodate 60 -70 people at a time. The place is very well connected by TTC and for those desi's who do not have a Car as yet, it would be very convenient to come to this place as the Bus stop is on the gate of my building. If most of the members agree to meet at my place, I would be more than happy to arrange this meeting. I would like your suggesions on a future date so that I can book the party/meeting room and this time we can certainly make it happen.
Suggestions please..

I was all prepared to come today. 15th May is not good for me as I have guests coming home from India... and so is 22nd. I think we should hold this meet in a hall? Ideas- on how much it would cost. Pramod - your idea for having an indoor meet is good.
My friends had planned a bbq party as well even that has been called off.
Tragedy... aisa humesha hamko kyo n hota hain yaar? Why ???

It was really sad and unfortunate that we could not meet again because of this unpredictable weather…
But this Saturday was not a total waste for me.. I was fortunate enough to meet 6 very enthusiastic CD’s at my place. Because of very short notice, these members could not get meeting cancellation news and reached my place defying the bad weather. So it was a kind of mini Canadian Desi meeting, we all had a very good time and discussed a variety of issues.
Now I am eagerly looking forward to have an earliest possible opportunity to meet other Canadian Desis in our second CD meeting.
Thanks and regards.

Indoor meeting would cost about 100 to 200$, as we did at Chandresh's place the first meeting.
However this time Biomed wanted to have it at his place and so we arranged it like that. I would suggest to have it at Biomed's place on whatever saturday is good. As from now it seems that next Saturday is looking good. SUDHISH, Sorry this might be inconvenient to you, but what can we do in this unpredictable country?

Thanks Garvo
I would suggest that we should wait for 2-3 weeks, as members had to change their weekend plans for 2 weekends in a row, which is not very convenient. In the meantime I will try to workout some sort of contingency plan as well.
What you guys think?
Thanks and regards.
