Did you get PR Card? You should know that you can apply for PR card after coming here, but you will get PR card in mail after 2-3 month. But Canada immigration really want to find out who are staying and who are leaving country, so they are doing random check and randomly they will call you to get PR card instead of sending in mail. So in that case, you can't come back to visit canada immigraiton office to get your PR card, as you have to have PR card to enter in canada. so In this situation, you have to apply again for some temp. permit from india..which cost money and time both...so think twice what you want to do..
anyway... this country is making money from immgration..so they got already money for your immigration process..
I have 3 friends came in this year, 2 friends got PR card in mail, and 1 unlucky have been ask to get PR card from office with ientity, and he informed them that i am outside of the country and they replied ..whatever..apply for either again canada immigration or temp. premit..so best of luck
igonre this message if you already landed and got PR card..
Dear VJ,
I have got interview weiver, i have completed all formalities like Police clearance etc and today i have submitted my passport for visa. A background about me, i am an engineer not a software engineer but an hardcore HVAC engineer located in Bangalore. I have my own business with a 1/2 corore turnover . My company has shown so much prospects that other pvt ltd company are giving me offer to take over in case i am leaving. I applied for PR when i was 37 today i am 41 and i got it. The biggest confrontation i have to face is , is it worth this trouble. After reading the posting in Canadian Desi i was seriously disturbed. But i always do not go by another persons experience and circumstances. I make my own decision , I thought over all pros and cons one major fact that always comes to my mind is Canada is 30 million whereas India is 1000 million.
I have lived abroad at Bangkok for 6 years with my family and during this time i realised the value of being a NRI . And today the facility available is you can go to Canada validate your PR status and re-join after 3 years this is great. My friend i want to sayone thing what ever prosperity comes to INdia today it gets diluted because of the population. Thailand where i stayed i could see the difference.
MY advice to you is getting a PR status is a assest like buying a property if you are PR you get an oppurtunity to stay and buy property etc in another country. That too a country with such a wide big land and so much natural resources and such a organised country to live. What ever is shared in the Desi the negative one i would like you to ignore and validate you PR status.
I am going to validate my PR status ,With good business at present i am till closing this business and moving to Canada, and that too i am moving all with my family i.e My wife, my daughter and my Son who is a mentally challenged one . You can make your judgements only when you reach there do not go by what is shared . There is a big difference between reality and another persons experience what is real for you may be totally different from what another persons experience.
I am moving to Canada by May 2005 with my family come what may i am landing to Toronto I know there are a lot of Canadian Desi and i have lived abroad for 6 years and once you are a NRI another indian will realise your value . You will get support and you will succeed .
regards
SR
