I am not coming to Canada, No no - Coming Now! By: Dear All, article.php?id=62 |
Mr. Lobster,
7 successful people is good news, but what about 200,000 migration per year, where most of them are highly qualified people.
Canada requires skilled LABOURS who can speak good English and are hardworking.
I have not seen a WELDER, MECHANIC, TRAILER DRIVER, CRANE OPERATOR, X Ray Technician migrated from India unemployed in Canada.
There are hundreds of Engineers / Doctors/ Ph.D's unemployed and doing menial jobs.
How pathetic? Canada should not lure people into Immigration. Canada encourages only professional people because only Graduates and educated people from India meets their English requirement and Financial capabilities.
Once they reach Canada, who cares whether the Ph.D is doing Janitorial jobs?????
Please correct me if i am wrong.

Hi VJ,
I had been to Canada last year just to fetch my PR card. It is worth try. Anyway we have to face the reality once we decide to take up the challenge. How bad it may be it is always better to keep options open.
Like you when I got my Visa, I was doing very good at my job, now things are changing very fast and I am very happy that I have one option still open.
Enjoy your trip to Canada and all the best.
Hi ETH,
Thanks for your input. Can you tell me more about your actual experience. I mean when did you go?, for how many days? what were your observations?
Are you planning to go back again? What is the scene at your end.
Rgds

Dear boncan,
i have just read your article. I am in absolute agreement with you, concerning the positive attitude one has to adopt, while making preparations for landing or while you are there. You are correct, while saying that this site is mainly addressed with too much of negativity.
Prior to choosing immigration to any country, one must define as to what are their individual and family objectives. In addition they must list out as to whats expected out of this new country. You may be asked to leave an existing comfort zone, for a place that provides you quality of life. Struggle is everywhere in today's life. One must cultivate a networking of positive attitude people and thats the way to go about it.
thanks

Hi VJ,
I had been to Calgary first in May-2003. I stayed there couple of days in a hotel with my wife & kid. Then I went to Winnipeg and finally to Toronto. I stayed in Canada for total 35 days and really enjoyed my trip. Finally I got my PR card and returned back.
I liked Canada very much for obvious reasons and I will go again in 2006 just before 3 years deadline.
As you have seen so many replies to your topic, there are good and bad things and it is upto each individual to make a better choice. It is not an easy task. I remember when I first landed in Dubai, I had been through same intial phase of job hunting, descrimination, no recognition for educatiion etc. I will face the same again when I start in Canada.
Take Care
Dera Blue lobster,
With regard to UK immigration, i must add here that education at the school level is at its lowest level. Most of the asians are sending their children to their home countries for elementary education. The discrimination can be seen across the board.
Though HSMP programme looks to be lucrative, it hs its own loopholes. The problem in our lives is that we are not happy with what we have with us. Lets live today and enjoy at its best.
thanks

Hi VJ,
Raining heavily & wife alone at home, I understand why you would want to rush home.
Enjoy!
