Can this ever happen in Canada?

Folks :
This is regarding an incident that I witnessed yesterday.

I had been to the local KFC to have some food (location is south India) and I was impressed to see that all the three counters had dumb (means not that they are 'dumb' but that they were really 'dumb) people as the order takers / cashiers.

They told me to use the menu card to order and I ordered pointing to the menu card and with sign language by hand.

Looks like India is more affairmative that we are given to believe.

Can something like this ever happen in Canada? That is my question to you folks !

You are right. Canada is a backward country for people from India. We should all renounce the cursed citizenship and return to the land of milk and honey. Advice me how to go about canceling my cursed PP after you are done.

By dumb, you meant 'mentally challenged'? If yes, wrong choice of words for they are not as challenged in the head as much as we the 'so-called' sane ones.

I think while saying dumb , Mr Murali meant Deaf..

Dudes,
It was dumb but then coming to think of it, they might have even been deaf and dumb.
When I posted the same status in my FB page, I got feedback from my friends that even in Chennai KFC, this is the staffing person.
I would invite CD's in other cities such as Mumbai, Delhi etc.. to inform if this is prevalent in their cities too.
